This article introduces the second release of the Gypsy Database of Mobile Genetic Elements (GyDB 2.0): a research project devoted to the evolutionary dynamics of viruses and transposable elements based on their phylogenetic classification (per lineage and protein domain). The Gypsy Database (GyDB) is a long-term project that is continuously progressing, and that owing to the high molecular diversity of mobile elements requires to be completed in several stages. Nous avons saisi l’opportunité d’une enquête archéologique portant sur une dizaine de sites désertés tous contemporains (XIVe-XVe siècle), débutée en 2003, d’abord en bois de Cestres, puis étendue à l’ensemble du Haut Val Suzon (Côte d’Or) , pour réaliser, concomitamment, une étude archéogéographique du bassin du Haut Val Suzon. Celle-ci a pour objet de contextualiser et mettre en perspective sur le temps long les nombreux habitats désertés qui s’y trouvent.

L'ensemble des données ici présentés a été rempli avec les informations et le format de la base de données propre à NOW (Néogène mammifères de l'Ancien Monde), ainsi que avec les informations supplémentaires auprès de sources diverses.
